We live by and with the sea

With a keen interest in sensor technology and ocean-based industries, Jørn-Roar Pedersen started the company in 2016 under the then name Tialta AS. In close collaboration with a rapidly growing number of committed customers, suppliers and employees, he has in recent years built up an ambitious ocean-oriented development environment in the company.

The name change to Seaqloud AS clarifies our mission to be the leading cloud provider of management data for aquaculture and maritime activities. Our employees work from our offices in Alta, Tromsø and Trondheim.

Sustainability strategy for Seaqloud AS

At Seaqloud, we live by and with the sea. This characterizes everything we do - and our sustainability strategy is based on this.

Long-term thinking is the basis for the way we treat our business partners, nature and society around us. From here, there is a common thread running through our thinking on sustainability.

We contribute to the smart use of technology to create increasingly efficient and profitable operations for our customers. Customers experience better resource utilization, achieve reductions in emissions to the environment, as well as increased safety and work quality. At Seaqloud, we have an active relationship with the community around us through work with sports and working life initiatives together with NAV.

Sustainability goals

Our relationship with the UN Sustainable Development Goals

At Seaqloud, we support the UN's efforts to stop climate change, fight inequality and eradicate poverty by emphasizing these three goals

Innovation and infrastructure

We develop new and increasingly sustainable solutions for use in ocean-based food production and transportation.

Our contributions to the digitization of reporting and management systems provide increased knowledge of the marine environment, which in turn leads to increased innovation, as well as savings for the environment through reduced transport needs.

Responsible consumption and production

The use of inputs in our physical products is fundamental to our business.

Our products are built with reuse in new products in mind, as well as extended lifetime through our as a service model that enables more than doubling of lifetime through active maintenance and service programs.

Life under water

In collaboration with our customers and partners, we make an important contribution to developing and processing an ever-improving and expanding data base on life under water.

Our customers' main activities are on and under water. We contribute to this work by collecting and presenting data - as well as management tools for our customers' operations. This provides financial incentives for customers to minimize environmental impacts through efficient operations and good animal health.

ESG targets

Our ESG goals towards 2025

We work continuously with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG). Seacloud's goal is to grow to a size where we are subject to the Accounting Act's requirements in Section 3-3 c on large companies' reporting of corporate social responsibility, including human rights, labor rights and social conditions, the external environment, equality and non-discrimination and combating corruption.

Environmental lighthouse

Seaqloud's Trondheim and Alta branches became Eco-Lighthouse certified in 2024.
